Is Olive Oil Too Acidic?

The wrongs we know right!!!

Olive oil is very acidic…

The fact that olive oil has acid in it does not mean that it is very acidic in the sense we think of it.

What was taught to us in schools?
"…pH represents the unit of measure describing the degree of acidity or alkalinity of a solution.
It is measured in a range from 0 to 14. In the term pH, "p" is derived from the mathematical symbol for minus logarithm, and "H" is derived from the chemical formula of hydrogen. pH The definition can be given as the minus logarithm of the hydrogen concentration .

The measure we use to understand the acid or alkaline value of a substance is called pH (potential hydrogen). The measurement is made according to the density of acidic hydrogen ions in the substance. The pH scale is between 0 and 14. 0 means too acid and 14 means too alkaline. A pH of 7 indicates that the substance is neither acid nor alkaline, that is, neutral. pH is a unit of measure used to rate the acidity or alkalinity of a solution.

Okay... Olive oil is insoluble in water, and aprotic solutions (without protons) do not have pH measurement. The acid we are talking about in olive oil is the amount of free oleic acid. In this sense, it is slightly acidic, in terms of pH (as in all quality vegetable/fruit oils...). Therefore, olive oil cannot be said to be very acidic. 2 Units of measure are different.
